LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Fresh from their historic performance at this year’s Newport Folk Fest, Brandi Carlile’s all-female supergroup The Highwomen appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in their late-night television debut.

The Highwomen performed two of their new singles, “Redesigning Women” which was broadcast as part of the show, and “Crowded Table” which was included as a “digital exclusive.”

The Highwomen’s “Redesigning Women” is the lead single from their new LP and feels a little like a throwback to the country music of yesteryear. The song, sung in four-part harmony, takes a page from predecessors like Dolly Parton’s hit “9-5” and speaks to women balancing their careers and home life.

The Highwomen had some support for the performance from Jason Isbell, on slide guitar, along with Phil and Tim Hanseroth, both longtime bandmates of Carlile.

The group, comprised of Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, and Amanda Shires, formed earlier this year and is gearing up for the release of their self-titled debut album which is slated to land in September.
