The incoming NPP administration would revert the name of Ghana’s seat of government from the Flagstaff House back to the original, Golden Jubilee House.
The name change is in line with the President-elect’s wishes, who has been referring to the edifice by it’s original name on the campaign trail.
“Yes, we are going to use the name Golden Jubilee House to refer to the presidential palace instead of Flagstaff House. That’s how Nana Addo has referred to it throughout his campaign,” a top official of the incoming NPP government told Starrfmonline.
The edifice was built by the previous NPP administration, which christened it Golden Jubilee House. But the government of the late Professor Mills changed it to Flagstaff House once in office.
