FT. WORTH, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) Country singer Mark Chesnutt's band avoided injury when his tour bus was involved in a traffic accident while returning to Nashville from a gig at Billy Bob's in Ft. Worth.
The accident occurred at approximately 3:30 on July 27, when a car traveling at approximately 100 miles an hour slammed into the back of Chesnutt's bus. The majority of the performer's band was aboard the bus, including Kenny Thurman, Delaney Jackson, Cary Stone Lee Kelley, Steve Ledford, Bob Gulley, Don Bradley and driver Dave Simon, however, no one was injured in the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle was young, reportedly inebriated and did not come equipped with a license to operate the vehicle.
One of the two police officers who responded to the accident ended up with a flat tire, which Mark's road manager Kenny Thurman thoughtfully changed for him while the officer took reports. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
