The film focuses on the story of producer Warren G, singer Nate Dogg and rapper Snoop Dogg, otherwise known as hip hip trio “213,” who are considered some of the earliest pioneers of the genre.

The documentary also features never-before-seen footage and interviews with Warren G, Snoop Dogg, Chuck D, Ice Cube, Ice T, Too Short, The D.O.C., Wiz Khalifa and more about Warren G’s story and the impact of Gangster Funk on hip hop.

“If you were to delete G-Funk music, rap today would be totally different,” says LA hip hop radio host Big Boy.
