UPDATED: Moran Named President of New Live Nation's New Latin American Division

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Bruce Moran has been named president of Live Nation's newly formed Latin American division.

Based in New York, Moran will oversee Live Nation's business development in Latin America with a special focus on Mexico and Brazil, respectively the 12th and 13th ranked music markets globally. Moran joined Live Nation last June as president of Live Nation New York. A new New York team will be announced on July 30 with Kevin Morrow as new president of Live Nation New York. Jason Miller will move east from Denver and become senior VP of booking.

Moran's team of executives have not been determined, but Phil Ernst, who moved with Moran from OSECA Presents/CIE USA Entertainment, will remain at Live Nation New York.

"Over the years Bruce has promoted some of the biggest artists in the world in Latin America and I am pleased that he has agreed to take on this important new role at the company," said Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino."

The new position is a natural for Moran who spent 12 years as CEO of OCESA Presents/CIE USA Entertainment, where he was responsible for establishing Mexico as the most active concert market in Latin America. Among the shows booked or produced by OCESA were U2, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Metallica, Madonna, Pink Floyd, among many others.

Prior to OCESA Presents/CIE, he was vice president of Music for Madison Square Garden. He also served as a talent agent at ICM and early in his career as a talent buyer for Monarch Entertainment Bureau. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
